Por qué protejo mi moto con Uniracing Graphics

By Carl Denman – YouTube channel Just the Way It Is

I’ve been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, and one thing has become obvious: modern bike paint just isn’t what it used to be.

Modern paint finishes aren’t as tough as before

Back in the 80s and 90s, Honda was known for thick, durable paint and clear coats. But new environmental rules forced manufacturers to switch to water-based paints that are softer and scratch easily. Many riders find their brand-new bikes scuffed around the tank within weeks, especially if the finish is matte.

Yes, nano-coatings can help with water and dirt, but they don’t protect against scratches or boot rub. That’s where protective graphics come in.

How I found UniRacing

I wanted something that would protect the paint, be easy to install and remove, and not damage the bike. That’s when I found UniRacing, a Spanish brand designing and manufacturing graphics in Argentona (near Barcelona).

UniRacing doesn’t advertise heavily; it lets its products speak for themselves. Yet some of the most demanding teams in the world rely on them:

  • Honda HRC – Dakar Rally: before UniRacing, the team changed graphics after every stage due to sand and rock damage. With UniRacing, some bikes now finish the entire Dakar on one set.

  • Kawasaki KRT – WorldSBK: since 2012, their ZX-10R superbikes use full UniRacing kits, lasting several races before replacement.

If those world-championship teams trust UniRacing, so do I.

Key UniRacing technologies

GRASTEC
Flexible, easy to install, with a tough scratch-resistant top layer. I tested it with a screwdriver — no marks left.

Rally Grip
Developed with the HRC Dakar team. Adds the right amount of grip on tank sides for off-road control without locking your legs. Available in clear and black.

Other solutions
Transmission tunnel protectors, pannier and top box graphics, fork stanchion protection (including transparent versions for KYB/Marzocchi), off-road rim stickers, and fully custom designs.

Made in Spain, trusted worldwide

UniRacing designs and manufactures everything in-house with a team of about 80 people. Local production means tight quality control and rapid innovation for both street riders and pro racers.

My takeaway as a rider

After testing their products and seeing them perform at the highest levels of racing, I’m convinced they’re a smart investment. They keep my bike protected and looking great for years.
